Here on the little homestead, handwork is a daily activity; idle hands are quick to mischief. Today's fiber art is a beautiful little baby blanket, but is wasn't made by me....
Or simplyjen..it was made by my mother. Today we are sharing Mimi's Treasure- a precious crochet piece, perfect for snuggling a wee one. Delicate white, pink and soft variegated yarn comes together in rows of tiny shell-like motifs edged in pink eyelet scallops.
No pattern used, this little charm is a complete original from my mother's handiwork. The only question is: where does it go from here? We discussed adding it to the Esty shop, but, I think a farmgirl may have slipped it in her hope chest....a sweet and delicate testimony of Mimi's Treasure.

What beautiful work!!
Thank you- she is very gifted in fiber art work. I have seen her look at something and make it with no pattern at all. It is a true gift.
