We found each other right before my surgery..I mean, right before. Gazing longingly, love and drool covering my face..my family fell over laughing .. as if you need another one. Excuse me, one can never have enough.
You can imagine my excitement when a rather large box arrived during my recovery time. Farm boy was super helpful getting everything open and set up.
It seems my dear family purchased my beloved as an early Mother's Day gift.
Ta-Da! A Singer 66 rare Crinkle/Godzilla Black finish 1950 sewing machine. This pretty cast iron wonder runs beautifully and sews a nice even stitch. Case and base make travel and storage easy and convenient...if you over look the fact that it is very heavy!
The sweet shop owners the machine was purchased from also sent a surprise bonus; an assortment of fabric panels..just for fun!
Now, excuse me..my new arrival and I need to get to know each other better :)

Why thank you both, and Ms, Lewis..not sure how soon before I can actually sit at the machine again, but that would be a wonderful first project with it!!
What a lovely gift! I hope you will recover soon so that you can enjoy using it. Best wishes with your recovery.
Thank you, Kathleen.
