The Old Pasture
While some of the family is away this week for Preteen Camp, Simplynrae is hosting an Art Expo to display some of her farm scenery pieces. Enjoy!
This idea came from an art book. My mother often tells stories from her childhood on the Kansas farm of her grandparents. Her family raised beef cattle- so in the background you see some grazing here. There are not many trees in Kansas, however, she often speaks of a tree line near the homestead. Pencil sketch is my favorite media right now...many could be paintings if an interest was there, however, I have kept this one simple- like the farm life it depicts.
