Friends Forever
Originally, there was a photograph. My friend asked me to paint her with her donkey (his name was Danny) as a keep sake..you see, we adopted him. The original was a large watercolor, framed and given..still in her home today. Later, I decided to adjust it in sketch..it now depicts the same gentle donkey- Danny, only the girl hugging his neck is my sister (seen several years ago). For me, this will always remind me of that ornery, yet loving, creature who once kept residence in my barn.
